Samosir is a short 4 hour drive from Kuala Namu international airport. the gareway to North Sumatra, There is an hourly boat service to bring you directly to our guest house, Our cook is an artist who specialises in local Batak, Indonesian and Western cusine who has five years experience cooking in Belgum, With over thirty years of experience our award winning bakery can provide you with warm wholemeal or white bread rolls for breakfast, You will love our afternoon tea garden where you can relax and enjoy our quality coffee, cakes and ice cream.
Our priorty is to provide clean and healthy rooms and if requested we will clean the room daily. Lake Toba Tour would not be complete without visit the Samosir island. Many visitors prefer to take the more scenic option and stay on this magnificent island.
The original home of the Batak Toba people, the island has many traces of history such as stone tombs and traditional villages, such as at Ambarita which has a courtyard with stone furniture where in the old days convicts were tried and beheaded. Or visit Simanindo where traditional Batak ritual dances and music are performed.
Here is where you’ll be able to discover unique and ancient Toba culture. At Tomok you can find mementos and Batak handicrafts. Buy the distinctive red and black hand-woven shawls called ulos– that are still used today at important life-cycle occasions-, a Batak calendar on rattan, woodcarvings and more. Samosir is accessible by regular ferries from Parapat. Boats also ply around the island regularly.

The deluxe rooms are equiped with showers that have hot water. Most of our rooms have a very nice view to the lake and also a very nice view to the mountains. This kind of room also has a nice garden and a very comfortable private balcony. For your sleep we have a kings size bed with very good quality mattrass, you can choose between twin or double bed. Enjoy our elegant teak furniture, originally made in indonesia. Some of the luxe room have double showers that you can enjoy if you are a couple.
