Terrario Tangkahan is a villa accommodation located in Tangkahan, an ecotourism area in the Langkat area, North Sumatra. Unlike other accommodations that are usually built in the city center or close to tourist destinations, this villa is located in the middle of the jungle of Sumatra Island, not far from the Gunung Leuser National Park
Tangkahan is combinations of vegetation and topography makes it a marvelous tourist tangkahan 5spot rarely found elsewhere. It is a small village on the border of Gunung Leuser National Park located in North Sumatra, situated at the junction of 2 rivers, the Buluh River and the Batang River. Tangkahan specialized in eco-tourism activities, converging exactly in this zone, are typical of rainforest streams, with diverse varieties of vegetation and colorful rocks and Sumatra Elephants on their banks. The clear, bluish green river water againts the panoramic view creates a mystical atmosphere.

Since the beginning of its construction, Terrario Tangkahan was intended for adventurers who were exploring the thick forest on Mount Leuser. The location is very strategic, standing on the edge of a steep cliff and close to the river. Only 100 meters away, visitors can walk to see first hand the life of wild elephants playing in the water.
The nature around this villa is so amazing, the scenery is somewhat rare, especially being close to the National Park . The rivers flow meandering and occasionally form waterfalls. If you are lucky, visitors can also see orangutans passing by. The natural atmosphere is calm and beautiful, far from the urban crowd.
The legal owner of Terrario Tangkahan is a well-known Indonesian celebrity who loves forest and wildlife, Nicholas Saputra. Initially there was only one lodge specifically for him. Architectural and spatial designs follow his lifestyle as long as he is close to nature. However, because many like it, it finally opened to tourists.
There are currently three lodges. A few months after opening, the visitor response was very good. According to Nicholas Saputra, the reason he designed this villa based on his lifestyle was because visitors staying at the villa would want to know the owner’s experience or lifestyle. Getting to Terrario Tangkahan takes about 3 hours from Medan City.
