North Sumatra Tour Package 6D5N – Medan is The capital of North Sumatra, Medan earned the nickname “Paris of Sumatra” during Dutch colonial times due to its marked resemblance to the French city. Situated on the north coast, Medan represents the largest city in Indonesia outside of Java. Though relatively untouristed, Medan has a charming historical center and often serves as a jumping-off point for other appealing spots like Lake Toba, Malaysia, and the island of Penang. For those that do stay here, things to do in Medan include cultural tours of the old city hall, an impressive mosque, and several museums, or trips to modern malls and restaurants.

Lake Toba is one of the most popular destinations in Indonesia, especially in Medan, North Sumatra. Lake Toba is the largest volcanic lake in Indonesia, even in the Southeast Asia.Lake Toba is actually more like a sea than a lake considering its size. Therefore, the Lake placed as the largest lake in Southeast Asia and the second largest in the world after Lake Victoria in Africa. Lake Toba is also included the deepest lake in the world, which is approximately 450 meters. It is because the flawless nature and pristine water would satisfy all visitors.

The beautiful town of Berastagi is located in karo highlands about 70km from Medan. The town is known for its plantations and various kinds of flowers, vegetables and fruit, most famous which is Marquisa passion fruit. Ibrastagit’s 66 km southwest of Medan and is 4.594 feet above sea level. There is a pleasant colonial-style hotel with a golf course. Other new hotels can also be found. From Gundaling Hill a clear view of Mt. Sibayak and Mt. Sinabung volcanoes can be seen. From this city, you will enjoy charming scenery to the active mountainside, which are Sibayak Mountain and Sinabung Mountain. To climb Sibayak Mountain require at least 3 hours trip and we could enjoy pretty scenery in these mountains or 3 to 4 hours trip in the forest to see the nature wealth inside, for both the flora and the fauna around this forest. Brastagi which rich with agro-industries became the appropriate choice for recreation spot other than Toba Lake and Samosir Island, which has become a trademark of North Sumatra.

Bukit Lawang or known also as Bohorok is for the adventurous, accessible through Sumatra’s inland wilderness, crossing rivers and going over steep hills. The area lies south of the Mount Leuser National Park, a rehabilitation center for Orang Utans in Bahorok, which was inaugurated in 1973. Orangutans living here are of Sumatra and Kalimantan origin. Seeing the orangutans is a magical experience. In Bukit Lawang, you can usually see them near the rehabilitation centre and at the feeding platform during the morning and afternoon feeding sessions. In Ketambe, you can go to 1-7 days treks into the jungle. The best experience is an encounter in the jungle where there are many semi-wild and wild animals. The wild orangutan can be difficult to spot unless you go deep into the jungle. There are also white and black gibbons that make an amazing noise calling out to each other, and Thomas Leaf monkeys. If you are lucky, you may be able to see hornbills, toucans, moon snakes, monitor lizards.

DAY 1 : MEDAN – SIANTAR

You will be greeted by your tour guide / driver cum guide on arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan. Transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Pematang Siantar. Enroute stop at Patent Shop to buy local food products such as Teng Teng or Ting Ting. . Visit Pematang Siantar Zoo. Check in to hotel for accommodation. Dinner at hotel. Enjoying BECAK at 500cc and walk arround Pematang Siantar.

DAY 2 : SIANTAR – LAKE TOBA – SAMOSIR

Breakfast at Hotel , drive to Parapat , Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. After lunch transfer to Samosir Island. Check in to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

DAY 3 : SAMOSIR TOUR

Breakfast at Hotel , Visit Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, then visit Ambarita Village to see the famous stone chairs and execution place of King Siallagan . Lunch at local restaurant , Back to Hotel Hotel at Samosir Island . Enjoying your relaxation at Samosir Island. Dinner and overnight at Samosir Island

DAY 4 : SAMOSIR – LAKE TOBA – TAMAN SIMALEM – BERASTAGI

Breakfast at Hotel , Back to Parapat. , tour continues to Berastagi. Enroute stop at Simarjarunjung to enjoy ginger tea and fried bananas (personal expenses). Stop at Sipiso Piso waterfall to see this magnificent 110 metres tall waterfall and an extraordinary view of Lake Toba from the north side. Lunch will be provided at Taman Simalem Resort . Proceed to Berastagi. Upon arrival in Berastagi visit the Central Fruit Market to buy tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers. Check into the hotel, where you will be having dinner.

DAY 5 : BERASTAGI – MEDAN

Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Medan Visit Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Alam Lumbini . Upon arrival visit Wood Gallery . Lunch at local restaurant. You will have a chance to visit Maimoon Palace, the palace of the Sultan of Deli, which was built in 1888. Visit Batik center , Birdnest and Pasar Ikan Lama (traditional market) and Medan Mall. Afternoon check in to hotel for accommodation. Dinner at local restaurant or hotel. Enjoy the warm atmosphere of Merdeka Walk , City Hall , Post Office at your own leisure , Transfer to Hotel for overnight

DAY 6 : FROM MEDAN TO KUALANAMU AIRPORT

Breakfast at hotel, then free and easy until transfer to airport for your next destination.
