World famous is the crater lake Danau Toba in the Batak highlands, approximately five hours drive from Medan. There are two ways to go to Lake Toba from Medan. One way via Brastagi in the Karo highlands and the other route along the rubber and palm oil plantations and Pematang Siantar.

arrive in kualanamu international airport medan,you’ll be welcome by lake toba travel.meet & greet with our team.then group will be taken to the cool highland town of  berastagi,a tourism place with its remarkable mountain scenery and refreshing weather,arrived in berastagi,transfer to local restaurant to have lunch.after lunch, city tour berastagi,visiting “fruits,flowers & vegetables market” shopping tour! enjoy berastagi, next group will be taken to lumbini park  to see a replica of the swedagon pagoda of myanmar ,next we will take a visit to “sipiso-piso waterfall” with its incredible lake toba view & tongging village,enjoy lake toba! continued to lake toba, take a visit to simarjarunjung hill,where you can taste “fried banana & bandrek”while enjoying the magnificient scenery of lake toba (personal expense),arrived in parapat,check in hotel,enjoy lake toba! dinner will be served in local resto/hotel

DAY 2 : PARAPAT/LAKE TOBA – SAMOSIR ISLAND  

after breakfast at hotel,by ferry/boat cruising to samosir island,enjoy lake toba! arrived in samosir island,city tour samosir,visiting “tomok” to see “the old tomb of king sidabutar” with its anting malela legend ,then visiting “sigale-gale statue”,next group will be taken to “siallagan village-ambarita” to see the stone’s chairs and tables, previously used for execution, here you can see bataknese traditional house ,bataknese traditional dance – tor tor, and also you can enjoy shopping to hunt unique souvenir made by local people (bataknese),check in hotel,free program ,enjoy lake toba! ,dinner will be served in local resto/hotel. (cycling is more fun thing to do in samosir island)

DAY 3 : SAMOSIR ISLAND – PARAPAT/LAKE TOBA – MEDAN

after breakfast at hotel,enjoy lake toba! back to lake toba by ferry/rent boat,arrived in lake toba,transfer to local resto for having lunch,after lunch,drive back to medan via pematang siantar-tebing tinggi, on the way to medan, we’ll pass by landscape with vast view of palm oil & rubber plantation,stop at paten shop to hunt local’s food such as ting-ting, teng-teng & tang-tang (personal expense) ,arrived in medan, check in hotel ,enjoy medan! dinner will be served in local resto/hotel.

DAY 4 : MEDAN CITY TOUR – SHOPPING TOUR – TRANSFER BACK TO THE AIRPORT

after breakfast at hotel,medan city tour,visiting “maimoon palace & grand mosque medan” then “medan shopping tour” to hunt medan’s local food/cake ,such as “bika ambon & bolu merantie”.lunch will be served at local resto,transfer out airport,tour ends! horas & mauliate. DAY 01 : ARRIVAL MEDAN – LAKE TOBA / SAMOSIR ISLAND

arrive at kuala namu international airport welcome by lake toba travel. stop at licensed money changer (optional). proceed to parapat lake toba for 5-6 hours drive. today you drive along endless palm tree, rubber and cacao plantations and through the historic city of pematang siantar. enroute stop at patent shop to to buy local food products such as teng teng or ting ting (optional on personal expenses). arrive at parapat, a town on the shore of serene lake toba from where you cross over the lake to the island of samosir. check-in hotel. overnight stay on samosir island / parapat.

DAY 02 : SAMOSIR ISLAND – EXCURSIONS – BRASTAGI HIGHLAND

after breakfast at hotel, it’s time to explore this magnificent island by visiting tomok village to see the ancient tomb of king sidabutar, then visit ambarita village to see the famous stone chairs and execution place of king siallagan. back to parapat and continue to berastagi. enroute stop at simarjarunjung to enjoy ginger tea and fried bananas (personal expenses). stop at sipiso piso waterfall to see the magnificent 110 metres and an extraordinary view of lake toba from the north side. proceed to berastagi. upon arrival in berastagi, visit the central fruit market to buy tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers. check-in hotel. overnight stay in brastagi.

DAY 03 : BERASTAGI HIGHLAND – MEDAN

breakfast at hotel and proceed back to medan. visit shwedagon pagoda replica at taman alam lumbini. upon arrival in medan visit wood gallery . you will have a chance to visit maimoon palace to see the palace of the sultan of deli which was built in 1888. visit batik centre and pasar lama (traditional market) or shopping mall. afternoon check-in hotel. enjoy the warm atmosphere of merdeka walk, city hall and pos office at your own leisure. then transfer to hotel for overnight stay in medan.

DAY 04 : MEDAN – TRANSFER AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE

after breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day shopping at pasar petisah (traditional market) and sun plaza (branded shops). afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight back to next destination. Horas & mauliate.
