Samosir Tour Package 5D4N – The volcanoes of Berastagi and the spectacular Lake Toba are not to be missed on a visit to North Sumatra. Take an early morning hike up Sibayak volcano and be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Sinabung volcano, which is the larger of the two peaks has seen some activity in recent years. If you can spare some more time it is possible to take a walk around this area to see the impact of its activity on neighbouring villages.
Lake Toba is one of Sumatra main attractions and among the most idyllic spots in Southeast Asia. Beaches are lined with pine trees and scenic mountains slopes surround the lake. Whilst in Lake Toba stay on Samosir Island where you can experience some of the fascinating Batak Toba culture.
Lake Toba is a huge caldera lake which is over 100km long and 30km wide. Not only is it the largest lake in Indonesia, it is the largest Volcanic Lake in the world. It was the site of a massive supervolcanic eruption that occurred 69,000 to 77,000 years ago, representing a climate-changing event. At 640 square kilometres (247 sq mi), Samosir is the largest island within an island, and the fifth largest lake island in the world. It also contains two smaller lakes, Lake Sidihoni and Lake Aek Natonang.

DAY 1 : MEDAN – LAKE TOBA – SAMOSIR
You will be greeted by your tour guide / driver cum guude on arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan. you will be welcomed with a Ulos, traditonal Batak woven cloth. Transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Parapat – Samosir. En route stop at Patent Shop to buy local food products such as Teng Teng or Ting Ting. Arrive at Parapat by ferry to Samosir Island. Check in to hotel for accommodation. Dinner at local restaurant or hotel.
DAY 2 : SAMOSIR TOUR
Breakfast at Hotel , Visit Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar, then visit Ambarita Village to see the famous stone chairs and execution place of King Siallagan . Lunch at local restaurant , Back to Hotel Hotel at Samosir Island . Enjoying your relaxation at Samosir Island. Dinner and overnight at Samosir Island.
DAY 3 : SAMOSIR – BERASTAGI
Breakfast at Hotel , Back to Parapat. , tour continues to Berastagi. Enroute stop at Simarjarunjung to enjoy ginger tea and fried bananas (personal expenses). Stop at Sipiso Piso waterfall to see this magnificent 110 metres tall waterfall and an extraordinary view of Lake Toba from the north side. Proceed to Berastagi , upon arrival in Berastagi , check in to Hotel , enjoying surrounding area at Berastagi. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Berastagi .
DAY 4 : BERASTAGI – MEDAN
Breakfast at Hotel , drive back to Medan , stop at Central fruits market to enjoy tropical fruits. Visit Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Alam Lumbini . Upon arrival in Medan transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch . You will have a chance to visit Maimoon Palace to see the Palace of the Sultan of Deli which was built in 1888 (Free wedding photos and traditonal clothes of Malay Deli . Visit Batik center . Afternoon enjoying 2 hours massage and spa . Check in to Hotel , Candle light dinner at hotel.
DAY 5 : HOTEL – AIRPORT
Breakfast at hotel, then free and easy until transfer to airport for your next destination
